30th Anniversary
At our February chapter meeting, Dr. Emmet Brown and Marty McFly (you may know them best as Doc and Marty from Back to the Future) stopped by to jolt us into reality and help us kick off 30 years of celebrating business travel in Tennessee.
They took us back in time, to look back on our rich history and also forward to the future to embrace the issues & challenges currently impacting our industry. We promise to bring you the most up to date innovations, continuing education, legislative updates, connections & ways to get involved at our meetings this year.

- Formation of the GBTA |Tennessee Travel Managers Roundtable
- Programming / Education for 2024

Shout out to our phenomenal 2023/24 Board of Directors. The board is leading the way with creativity and intention to craft another successful year for our chapter in 2024. In the spirit of 30 years, we want to introduce you to our 1994 selves! Some of us were new moms, watching Bugs Bunny, living in another country, in high school, & sporting those infamous 90s perms! I’m blown away with how individually and collectively they have impacted the business travel industry & our chapter. It’s such an honor to serve alongside each of them!
Take us away, we don’t mind, we promise you, gotta get back in time!

Finally, and most importantly, we send a big, huge thank you to all the volunteers from the past 30 years, board and committee members, speakers, sponsors, and guests, who were the true trailblazers & time travelers. Our cities, travel, and industry has changed. We stand on your shoulders as you built the Tennessee chapter into an amazing organization that has made us incredibly proud to belong to as we continue to connect and collaborate in the same spirit our chapter was founded.

When I think back to the important message of Back to the Future it's about embracing change ( and we all know that the travel industry is constant change ) ... while it's not always easy, we can adapt, appreciate the differences, and use them to our advantage.
