Fundraising Committee

Fundraising Committee Activities:

• Regular meetings via conference call or in person to assign committee tasks.
• Coordinate all aspects of annual fund raising event
• Solicit donations from vendors
• Coordinate fundraising activities for charity selected by TBTA.

Legislative Committee

Legislative Committee Activities:

• Champion Rules of the Road for Optimizing Business Travel
• To inform the GBTA Board, committee chairs and members of legislative priorities
• To educate and communicate legislative initiatives throughout our membership
• To act on all legislative policies deemed appropriate by the Executive Director & COO or the GBTA Board

Membership Committee

Membership Committee Activities:

• Meet regularly via conference call or in person as designated by Committee Chair
• Develop and implement a plan for membership recruitment and retention
• Coordinate the Association's Membership Drives

Programs Committee

Programs Committee Activities:

• Meet monthly via conference call or in person as designated by Committee Chair 
• Plan all aspects of monthly chapter meetings; includes securing, speaker, location and developing the program schedule
• Coordinate other events as needed for the Association

Scholarship Committee

Scholarship Committee Activities:

• Develop meaningful scholarships for members
• Communicate scholarship opportunities to membership and establish requirements
• Review scholarship applications and recommend scholarship recipients.

Sponsorship Committee

Sponsorship Committee Activities:

• Review current sponsorship opportunites and make recommend updates or changes to the Board.
• Solicit sponsors for upcoming year beginning in 3rd quarter.
• Coordinate sponsorship recognition with program committee.
• Write thank you notes to sponsors.

Inclusion & Culture Committee

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee Activities:

To promote awareness of the many issues facing travelers and coworkers in the workplace, or while traveling, attending meetings or handling travel needs.  The committee will provide resources, education and support to enable the travel industry to embrace and drive diversity, equity and inclusion within our organizations.
